Still want to participate? We’re hatching more birdhouses! Fill out the form and first-come, first-birdhouse’d.
It’s spring time and the birds are starting to return! The WestLeb Birdhouse project is a fun way to show our spirit of togetherness while we are still safely staying apart. Painted birdhouses will be strung around town, giving birds (and humans alike) a scavenger hunt of sorts as they find them around town!
Although we’re still cooped up inside by the pandemic, this is a way to provide our community with some bold colors to brighten up everyone’s day.
Birdhouse kits are $10 to cover the cost of materials, (wooden birdhouse, paint, brushes, etc.) and there will be a scheduled pick-up at AVA Gallery and in West Leb. There’s also a packet of native wildflower seeds to spread where you’d like a future dash of color, and a Lebanon Community Cleanup “Blue Bag” to help with Spring Cleanup.
Once they’re painted (and dried!) drop them back off at AVA Gallery to be included in the installation, or hang them in your own yard if you’d prefer!
Special thanks to AVA Gallery for their help in distributing! If we run out of birdhouse kits, you can always find more birdhouses, paint, and wildflower seeds at our local businesses like West Lebanon Feed & Supply and Lebanon Paint & Decorating.
Small improvements can go a long way, especially when we work together and make it fun. Let’s brighten up WestLeb together!
